How do you deal with the loss of a close friend?

[For those of you in Ilex Forest, Archer is currently busy training his Pokémon. Or at least, that's what he'd like you to think he's doing. Every so often he'll check the Gear to see if there's a response to that anonymous text.]

[Today really isn't a good day. Archer definitely seems more distracted and agitated than usual, and he's been snapping at his Pokémon all day. Why? It's January 28th. Kimbley would have been twenty-eight today.]

What if that's impossible? What would make him proud isn't something I can do here; when I return home it isn't something that will be very beneficial either.

It might for a while, but if they are fond memories, you should learn to remember them fondly instead of letting them get you down. I doubt they would want that.

[As much as Kimblee does tend to ignore texts like this - sympathy isn't exactly his forte, after all - he's had a few...fairly recent conversations that have him feeling a bit more charitable toward matters like this for the time being. However, he isn't about to sign his name to it if the other won't do him the courtesy of making their own identity known; at the very least he's managed to mess with the filters enough to know how to post anonymously? Admittedly, he still hasn't figured out how to turn the Gear off entirely, but still...]

Not to be intrusive, but it depends on the nature of the loss; are they no longer in Johto, or was this someone who was removed from your life in some way back home?
