♕ TENTH COMMAND | VIDEO

[The video opens to two badge cases, each with all eight Johto Gym Badges arranged neatly. The camera turns to focus on Archer then; he's smirking even more than usual, if that's even possible.]

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the previous record for earning all the Gym Badges was eleven months?

[It's not really a question. He remembers exactly what Mustang said.]

Kimblee and I have done it in eight.

[He'll give you all a moment to absorb that knowledge. Yes, yes, they're amazing, he knows~]

We're both seeking challenges from others who have gathered the Gym Badges. We both have teams at level 100, though we also have lowered-leveled Pokémon, if you're interested in challenging either of us. We would be interested in double battling as well, if any of you are interested.

[...Well, he would, at least. Sorry, Kimblee, you have no choice~]

We look forward to it.

[OOC: This is a double post! You'll receive replies from either Kimblee or Archer!]

Congratulations, to both of you. Is there some strategy you devised in order to attain such an honor? I'd be curious to hear your approach.
explosivecombat: (And what have we here?)

Ah, unfortunately, a policy we've had in place since the beginning is no direct help - we don't share information, regardless of who's asking.

I'm a bit of a believer in everyone earning exactly what they receive, you see; it is incredibly bold of you to ask, however.

[A shrug]

Fortune favors the bold, as they say. We'd never learn anything if we never asked questions.
explosivecombat: (It's no accident that I've survived)

I find that fortune favors the bold, but the world tends to favor the shrewd. Did you think you were going to get a genuine answer? Not to be snide; I'm merely curious.

There was a possibility. Some people are proud not only of their achievements, but the manner in which they achieved them.
explosivecombat: (Go on and keep that up)

[personal profile] explosivecombat 2012-06-14 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
And what makes you believe there was any method outside of the standard "hard work and perseverance"?
the_true_historian: (hot in there)

[personal profile] the_true_historian 2012-06-15 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
People come up with unique ways to approach the same problem. Your definition of hard work and perseverance probably differs from mine in some way, based on our unique experiences and cultures.
explosivecombat: (And what have we here?)

[...are you going to tell him something he doesn't know eventually, honey, or...?]

As true though that is, I still don't see why you would assume that I would simply give you information regarding anything I've achieved. If I'm going to work for the better part of a year - some of which was spent on trial and error, mind you, as all new experiences are - then I'm hardly going to help someone else shave time off of doing the same. It's a noble idea, maybe, but I'm not that charitable.

[That wasn't one of the aims of this conversation, no.]

Mm, I noticed.
